Reynolds Landing
The original resort community on Lake Oconee under the name "Port Armor", Reynolds Landing is centered on a classic Bob Cupp golf course that earned numerous awards when it opened in 1986. The course takes advantage of Reynolds Landing's 10 miles of lakefront, and also offers convenient practice facilities. A Linger Longer Community since 2005, Reynolds Landing is adjacent to Reynolds Plantation, with both gated communities located about an hour from the conveniences of Atlanta, the traditions of Augusta, and the excitement of the University of Georgia in Athens.
Reynolds Landing is an ideal place for families to linger longer while still remaining within easy reach of the excitement of Atlanta or the traditions of Augusta. Local towns offer superb antique shopping, dining, and a wealth of cultural and historical sites. In fact, nearby Madison was recently named the #1 Small Town in America. The shops of Lake Oconee Village, a master planned retail and commercial center adjacent to the entrance to Reynolds Landing, opened in the fall of 2002, giving members even more to see and do.
In 1979, Lake Oconee was created when Georgia Power Company completed construction of Wallace Dam. The second largest lake in the state, Lake Oconee's 19,000 acres provides Georgia's most ideal environment for the outdoor enthusiast and perfect for all types of watersports.
